Description

Baron Takeichi Nishi joined the Japanese army in 1920 as a cavalry officer, however as Japan modernised its armed forces the cavalry became a tank arm like most modern armies of the time. In 1932 he represented Japan at the Los Angeles Olympics and won a gold medal in the equestrian event. In a time where Japanese officers traditionally still rode horses we have recreated the Baron on his favourite horse Uranus. The Baron died during the battle for Iwo Jima in 1944 and is featured prominently on the Cint Eastwood movie Letters from Iwo Jima.

We have a limited edition of 100 pieces of the Baron in stock.
